Financial Controller

Pure are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller on behalf of a growing software company based in Cambridge.

This role will be fully remote with quarterly company get togethers organised in Cambridge. The business currently have an annual turnover of £2 million but are growing quickly so this role offers a great opportunity, currently this is a sole finance position but with business growth there will be the potential to recruit an additional head into finance in the future.

This position will report directly into the COO and will take responsibility for the following -

- Prepare and publish monthly Group consolidated management accounts
- Coordinate the preparation of the regulatory reporting
- Run a quarterly budget planning process and and work with line managers to set targets
- Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cost accounting, revenue recognition, bank reconciliations, payment runs and VAT returns.

You must be comfortable working on the above day to day tasks alone and have the initiative to support on key business decisions, this role forms part of the senior leadership team and must be able to provide ideas to push forward business growth.
