Crimson Hotels is now recruiting for a Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be based in Crowne Plaza London Gatwick Hotel and oversee all aspects of the finance function within the hotel, reporting to the General Manager.
The Role
To provide management with timely financial analysis for effective decision making. Prepare all statutory and management requirements of Hotels. Develop financial strategies to help develop the business and review periodically. Work alongside the General Manager to deliver commercial business objectives and financial targets through effective leadership and development of the finaance hotel teams.
Key responsibilities
Review monthly financial statements and analyse variances between actuals and budget for all revenues, expenditures, and payroll.
Implement policies, guidelines, internal controls, and safeguards that ensure profitability and efficiency is maximised.
Co-ordinate and involved with the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and monthly P&L.
Manage month end process including consolidated management reporting, variance analysis, cashflow, business KPIs and commentary to senior management.
Supporting credit control, chasing debtors for payments, purchase ledger and banking
Audit the F&B outlets stock on regular basis and prepare the month end reports for stock take.
Oversee and be involved as needed with the processing of payroll.
Ensure the team are correctly using the purchasing system.
To be successful in your application for the position of Finance Manager, you should possess the following:
A background in a branded hotel or hospitality environment ideally within in a leadership role.
Proven self-accounting experience, with a relevant qualification.
The confidence and ability to engage and influence colleagues across the organisation.
A desire for continuous improvement around data quality and insightful analysis to ensure real value-add to the business.
The ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
Able to act promptly, meet deadlines and work under pressure at times.
Up to date with the latest legislation and technology.
