We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Financial Controller to join a dynamic team, based in Neatished, Norfolk. As a Financial Controller, you be overseeing the UK and the EU a and will play a key role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of a well-established company. This position will prove to be a challenging, rewarding and visible opportunity for the individual who possesses the requisite skills and attributes.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintaining financial infrastructure, primary responsibility for the monthly accounting close and financial statement preparation within 5 business days.Become the "super-user" of ERP systems, overseeing current change initiatives and integration with supporting systems.Provide guidance to other finance team members and complete assigned accounting tasks within parent company deadlines.Maintain compliance with all local, country, and other statutes and regulations at all times.Must ensure the month close is completed timely and accurately, including review of all account reconciliations and key accruals and reporting to the parent entity with the month end close timeline.Manage and performs tasks within the various disciplines of the accounting functions (accounts payable and accounts receivable) to ensure these functions are operating and performing within Company guidelines.Provide solid financial reporting and forecast accuracy while strengthening processes and procedures throughout the accounting/finance department.Be able to establish an annual budget and report on monthly performance versus those objectives.Responsible for the review of payroll and ensure accuracy of recording.Be able to prepare a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast for the local country division.Perform other related accounting/financial duties as required or requested by the local country leader, Controller and CFO.RequirementsMinimum of 5 - 7 years of increasing level of responsibilities in a B2B Company (manufacturing, service and/or distribution company)Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field required (Chartered Accountant or MBA is preferred)Demonstrated strategic thinking surrounding the Company's financial systems infrastructureHands on approachAbility to leverage system capabilities for greater integration of with eCommerce platforms and improve automation of routine functionAbility to amicably solve issues and provide quality judgment and decision makingProven track record of developing, implementing and maintaining an accounting/finance functionProficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and ability to learn internal systems programsRelevant experience in audit and cost accounting is advantageousAbility to speak German is highly advantageousHours - Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (with a degree of flexibility)BenefitsSalary of £50,000-£75,000 (negotiable)BonusFree parkingFree lunch and refreshments
