Reports To: Finance DirectorMain Purpose of the JobTo oversee all accounting processes, maintaining internal controls over financial reporting and budgets to improve operational efficiency in a growing and rapidly evolving business.Main ResponsibilitiesTo develop finance best practice and document process flows for finance and accounting in a way that supports the needs of a dynamic, fast-growing businessTo create a detailed monthly timetable to ensure financial information is delivered on a timely basisTo prepare and publish timely management accounts with comprehensive commentary, analysis and insights by working day 5Team management, including providing guidance and training to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial results and reportingTo encourage and be part of a culture of collaborative working between the finance team and other business functionsTo be responsible for managing cash flow and treasury forecasting and reporting, highlighting issues and concerns to the Finance DirectorTo Identify and assess potential risks and control weaknesses, and develop recommendations for improvement in a fast moving and evolving environmentTo co-ordinate and prepare all statutory reporting and liaise with external auditorsTo ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations and ensure robust governanceTo co-ordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and forecasting processesKnowledge, Experience and CompetenciesPrevious experience in a senior finance/accounting roleRecognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)A minimum of 5 years post-qualified experienceExperience of designing robust processes and controls in a dynamic, fast-moving environmentAn effective communicator with excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate financial information to a non-Finance audienceStrong people management skills, with proven ability to motivate a team, and train finance colleagues in best practiceA self- motivated and proactive person who can work well under pressure and meet deadlinesExcellent decision making, analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced systems skills, including Excel and Powerpoint.
