We are delighted to be working with a financial planning and investment management business based in Manchester who are looking for a Financial Controller / Finance Manager to join their very successful team on a full-time permanent basis as soon as possible, remote/hybrid working is also available with this role.They help a range of clients with their investments and pensions and are at the forefront of responsible, social and ESG investing. Having a great culture is important to them and they are an employee-owned business where all staff are co-owners, able to achieve their full potential and share in the success.The main purpose of this role is to contribute to the overall success of the business by overseeing the accounting records of the Group and being responsible for Group management accounts.Responsibilities:Overseeing the preparation of relevant, accurate and timely, monthly management accounts for individual companies and the consolidated groupEnsuring all reporting requirements are met, whether statutory or regulatory (FCA, ONS, HMRC)Leading the preparation of annual budgets and HY reforecasts, including cash flows and FCA requirement considerationsScenario modelling for the preparation of the ICARA framework and the liquidity risk management frameworkCollating information for the Company's insurance brokers with help from the Finance Team and Compliance, as required.Key contact for auditors/tax professionalsManaging other ad-hoc projects which may arise as directed by the Head of Finance or Senior PartnerDeputising for Head of Finance as necessaryTo line manage the team of 3 and provide cover if necessary.To actively contribute to the development of the team and oversee performance management including annual appraisals and ongoing 1:1s.The successful candidate should have:Over 5 years' experience of working within Accounting & Financial Services (preferably a wealth management / investment management firm) and have a solid understanding of FCA regulations and VAT partial exemption principles.You will need to be ACCA, CIMA, ACA or AAT Level 4 qualified.Expert Excel SkillsAbility to communicate at all levelsExperience of Sage 50 Accounts or similar is preferredIn return they offer a great work environment and truly superb benefits package including:Base salary of circa £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.Opportunity for hybrid work with 3 days at home for those who would like toTraining through their in-house Academy Programme leading to further qualifications being obtainedTransparent and consistent approach to career development through which you will be able to develop your technical knowledge and interpersonal skillsOpportunity to be part of an employee-owned business which values employee involvementContributory pension schemeUp to 30 days of holidayOpportunity to join a tax-incentivised shareholder incentive planNHS Top Up schemeIf you would like to apply, please send your CV via the link or directly to ##### and we will contact you if you have been successfully shortlisted
