Contributing to the strategic goals, aims and objectives, you shall manage part of the finance function responsible for treasury management, forecasting, regulatory reporting and business planning. You shall also lead over the preparation of the Annual Report and look to mitigate risk for the organisation. Managing a team of 3 who deliver the day to day financial requirements, you shall look to develop skills and ensure the timely submission of information to the Society's regulators.A diverse role, adding value across the strategic decision making process, you shall ensure regulatory and statutory requirements are met. Main role duties as Financial Controller:Annual Report & Accounts• To prepare the Society's Annual Report and Accounts and Summary Financial Statement in accordance with appropriate accountancy standards, statutory and regulatory requirements• To compile and arrange submission to HMRC, annual corporation and deferred tax computations• To assist in the preparation of an annual assessment going concern in accordance with appropriate accountancy standards and guidelines received from the regulator• To assist in the preparation of an annual ICAAP• To assist in the preparation of an annual Recovery Plan and Resolution Pack• To undertake liquidity stress testing as part of the ILAAP requirements• To review the Society's Mortgage Impairment Policy on an annual basis and update accordingly Regulatory reporting• Responsible for the timely production and accurate submission of all prudential regulatory returns• Responsible for horizon scanning any new regulatory changes and ensuring compliance with all new regulation.Strategic Business Plan• To prepare and update the Society's financials for the annual Business Plan• To undertake stress testing of the Business Plan• To prepare forecasts and analysis of the Business Plan on a monthly basis, including stress testingKey Performance MI• To sign-off monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc Board/Committee reports as per the agendas• To review and report to the Finance Director performance variances on a monthly basisTreasury Middle Office• Produce Asset & Liability Management and Analysis reporting including against set limits and metrics• Responsibility for maintaining up to date Treasury Valuations and ensuring Sterling Monetary Framework requirements are fulfilledProduct Pricing• To update the Mortgage Product Pricing Policy on an annual basis • To review, challenge and sign-off the mortgage product pricing model • To update the mortgage product pricing model assumptions and present to ALCO as required• To price mortgage products on a timely basis in preparation for submission to ALCO• To assess the financial impacts and key risks to the Society arising from all product proposals People• To ensure the Finance Middle Office function is adequately resourced at all times• To lead and appropriately manage an effective and efficient Middle Office Finance function Other• To maintain a departmental risk register in accordance with the Society's Risk Management Framework• To review and sign-off relevant procedure manuals ensuring they are up to date and are accessible for inspection at all times.• To manage relevant finance related projects• To work with the wider Society to ensure Finance support is provided where requiredExperience & Qualifications Required To Apply:With a proven track record of leading a finance function within the financial services sector, you shall be formally qualified (ACA CIMA ACCA) finance professional with strong technical accounting skills. With experience in a regulatory environment you shall have the ability to develop process and systems. With experience of effective treasury management you shall have a strategic mindset and be able to communicate and influence others effectively. Driven, dynamic and a collaborative worker, you shall have the skills to develop junior members of the team and seek to enhance the finance function whilst providing support to the board and stakeholders.
