VR #1839113Financial ControllerCirencester£65,000We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our client, a thriving Technology business in Cirencester, and become an essential part of the team.The role will be based in their offices near Cirencester 3 days per week, and remote work for 2 days per week.As Financial Controller you will be responsible for the following:Overseeing and managing the company's financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.Monitor and analyse financial data, preparing financial reports for management, investors, and stakeholders.Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.Manage financial audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely and accurate completion of audit procedures.Develop and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and prevent financial risks.Lead financial planning and provide financial insights and guidance to senior management and contribute to business strategy discussions.Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns in multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local tax laws.Drive process improvements within the finance department to enhance efficiency and accuracy and optimize financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.Mentor and develop finance team members.To be considered you will need to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar leadership roleStrong understanding of international accounting standards and tax regulations.Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.Excellent communication, translating financial information to non-finance stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices.Proficiency in financial software (Sage) and ERP systems.Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy.Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.If successful you can expect a salary of £65,000, along with Holidays and Pension, and the chance for the role to progress to a Financial Director position too.Send your CV in application asap to be considered for an interview.
