Finance Controller - Finance & Accounting

As the Finance Controller, you will report to the Group Finance Director and be responsible for leading the financial accounting, reporting, and control activities of the organisation and its group companies. You will ensure that these activities are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in line with best practises, providing valuable insight and support to drive performance and maximise profitability.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and management of the monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Consolidation and preparation of group accounts.
  • Balance sheet management and review of reconciliations.
  • Development and maintenance of financial control procedures for regulatory and statutory compliance.
  • Evaluation of competitors and customers' financial performance and risk profile.
  • Year-end financial processes and liaising with auditors.
  • Providing relevant and timely financial information to the board and senior team.
  • Driving improvements in working capital management and overall financial performance.
  • Leading and developing the financial control team, fostering a high-performance culture.

To be successful in this role, you must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and have significant experience in financial accounting, reporting, and control. Strong knowledge of accounting policies, regulations, and best practises is essential. Additionally, you should possess excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
