Interaction Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be representing a leading client within the automotive sector in their search for an experienced Financial Controller to lead their finance team.

This company are part of a large global business with a turnover of £4billion, with a well respected and stable business, who are able to offer excellent potential for growth and development for the successful candidate.  This is an excellent time to join a business who are undergoing a period of growth, where you will be part of a friendly and diverse business.

Reporting in to the Managing Director, this is a pivot role which sits on the Senior Management team within the business.  You will be responsible for the following tasks;


  • Take responsibility for all financial planning (capital procurement planning, capital investment, short and long term planning)
  • Budgeting (Producing UK budgets to report to Head Office in Germany)
  • Reporting (both Internal Group and Statutory reporting)
  • Internal and external cashflow management
  • Company Secretarial duties
  • Support Management decision making by providing data and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory financial obligations
  • Maintain and develop relationships with internal and external suppliers (Tax specialists, Auditors, Banks)
  • Manage and develop a small team including Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant and Finance Administrators
  • Other duties to support the team

  • Fully Qualified candidate (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Must have experience of either a manufacturing or automotive industry (or a supplier to this industry)
  • Experienced in reporting to overseas Group Head Quarters
  • IT Literate, ideally with experience of SAP (or similar), Hyperion and Microsoft Products
  • Ideally experienced in Managing and mentoring staff
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Must currently reside in a commutable location and be eligible to work in the UK

This role is initially will be office based with occasional working from home, but after this time, hybrid working would be possible. There is flexibility on start and finish times, but typical working week is 37 hours, with a 1.30 finish on a Friday.
