Financial Controller - South Leeds - Manufacturing

The role will report directly to the Regional Finance Director as number 2 in finance, and take responsibility for the day to day overseeing of the Leeds finance function.The site is based in South Leeds, but the business operate hybrid working, working 3 days on the office and 2 from home.***The ideal candidate will be an established FM/FC with experience working in manufacturing or FMCG, with previous knowledge of SAP (or similar) and SOX***The key duties of this role include:Lead and manage the finance team.Provide proactive business support and financial analysis to the management teamMonthly Management and statutory audited accountsMonthly P&L's comparison to budgetsMonthly balance sheets and Monthly cash analysisReview Balance sheet reconciliationsOversee AP/AR, credit control, banking, VAT returnsPrepare accurate and timely annual financial plans/budgets and monthly outlooks/forecastsSupport the Finance Controller - Compliance UK in maintaining effective internal controlsSupport the site management team in the appraisal of new investment proposalsProactively contribute to a continuous analysis to remove or drive down costs and maximise revenuesProactively participate in the continuous analysis and review of site profitabilityCo-ordinate and control regular reviews of debtor and creditor reviews to ensure accuracy of records.The successful candidate will:Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified - EssentialHave a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Financial Controller role -ideally in Manufacturing or FMCGHave previous knowledge of SAP - DesirableHave previous knowledge of SOX and SAO - Highly DesirableHave experience of working to tight reporting deadlines - Highly DesirableWhat's on offer?Hybrid working - 3 days office basedCar allowance10% BonusPrivate medical5% pension (matched)On site parking
