One that makes adifference, is empathetic, fair and creates opportunities foreveryone.In this exciting role, you will be responsible for managing thedelivery of financial control and reporting within GB Bank, takingcharge of financial control ensuring precision, compliance, andstrategic financial insights across the organisation.The main purpose of this role is to ensure accurate recordingand reporting of financial transactions, including interpretation ofdeveloping accounting standards and implementing them within the Bankto ensure compliance with internal and external policies andregulations, and providing timely and meaningful financial informationto stakeholders.As Financial AccountingManager you will find yourself:Managing the financial control of the Bank, ensuringtimely and accurate preparation of financial resultsTakecharge of critical accounting areas such as hedge accounting, revenuerecognition and loan loss provisioning, ensuring accuracy andcompliance with relevant accounting standards.Manage thepreparation of financial statements, ensuring meticulous review andinterpretation of financial results.Establish and maintainrobust internal controls, ensuring the effectiveness of procedures andadherence to regulatory requirements.Develop and nurturerelationships with internal and external stakeholders, includingauditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.Provide guidance on upcoming technical accounting standardsAssist in the preparation of regulatory and tax returns ofthe BankAd-Hoc Projects: Drive and contribute to ad-hocprojects and requests, showcasing your versatility and ability tothrive in a dynamic environment.Skills and experience - you are/will have most of thefollowing:Qualified Accountant(ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with strong technical accounting skills, with anability to interpret and apply accounting principles and regulations.Relevant experience gained from working with similarfinancial services organisations.Experience in leading themonth-end close process and preparing financial statements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with anability to analyse complex financial information and identify trendsand issues.Strong leadership and management skills, with theability to prioritise tasks, assign work, and delegate taskseffectively.Ability to work collaboratively withcross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.Strong communication and presentation skills, with an abilityto present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.Experience in liaising with external auditors and regulatorybodies, including tax authorities and other financial institutions
