Job DescriptionResponsibility for month end postings including but not limited to; payroll, timesheets, VAT and income.Ensure the integrity of the UK financial accounts by supporting in the completion of monthly checks.Support in the preparation and review of timely balance sheet reconciliations.Providing support and guidance on all Tax related matters including VAT, Gift Aid and Corporation Tax.Preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT return.Assisting budget holders on any VAT related queries.Key relationship manager for VAT helpline..Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.Liaising with internal and external auditors.Implementing and monitoring internal financial controls.Identifying opportunities for financial improvement and efficiency.Collaborating with other team members to achieve departmental objectives. The Successful Applicant A successful Financial Accountant should have:Working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).Proven experience of working within the Not for Profit sector is essential for this role.Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis.Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.Proficiency in financial software applications.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
