Hybrid Financial Accountant role - ideally a Finalist or Newly QualifiedWorking for a large UK Government DepartmentAbout Our ClientA large Government DepartmentJob DescriptionReporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, the Financial Accountant will sit in either the Core Financial Accounting, Inventory or Financial Consolidation teams.The posts are critical in enabling the Department to record an accurate financial position, assessing results against budget assigned by parliament, producing annual reports & accounts and enabling a successful audit.These roles provide a unique opportunity to be involved in the production of one of the largest and complex set of financial statements in Europe.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Financial Accountant will ideally be CCAB Qualified, although finalist candidates about to take the last exams will be considered, who has significant practical experience in financial accounting or the preparation/audit of statutory accounts.Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, including the ability to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Expert understanding of IFRS reporting standards is needed for these vacancies.What's on OfferA salary up from £44,000 to £54,000 dependant on previous experience and qualification.
