With hybrid working and based from either the London or Leeds office.Robertson Bell are proud to once again be working with this inspiring health organisation in their search for a new Financial Accountant (Consolidations) to join their growing team on a permanent basis. Reporting into an experienced management team, this varied role will take the lead on all thing’s financial accounts, whilst also providing critical support in the management accounts and budgeting processes, in addition to pioneering process improvements.This is an exciting time to join a large dynamic finance function in managing one of the largest budgets in government. The client offers the ability to work from home with occasional travel required, with your main office base as either London or Leeds.The key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant (Consolidations) positionsinclude:Be part of a small team responsible for the preparation of high quality, IFRS-compliant, consolidated Departmental accounts to challenging timescalesUndertake quality assurance of ALB and NHS financial returns for inclusion in the group consolidated financial accounts, including validating data and following up queries with individual organisationsYou will calculate and process accurate and appropriate consolidation adjustments.Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders and other teams involved in the preparation of the consolidated accounts, both internal and external to the DepartmentIdentify and take forward process improvements in relation to the design of the consolidation processAssist in the preparation of the Whole of Government Accounts return on behalf of the groupThe successful Financial Accountant (Consolidations) will have:Part/fully accountancy qualification (CCAB or equivalent);Experience of the audit or production of financial accounts; or experience of producing and resolving complex financial accounting areas and balance sheet reconciliationsA good team player, able to collaborate, work flexibly and make improvementsEffective liaison skills to work with multiple stakeholders from within Finance, business units across the organisation and external stakeholdersSuccessful candidates would receive strong investment in their learning and development, opportunities to work on a variety of exciting projects and ample opportunity for career progression.
