The Finance CoE manages global, division-agnostic processes and outputs where the team aim to build and enhance quality, consistency and scalability.Reporting into the Finance CoE Senior Accountant, this is a key operational role which is accountable for delivering an accurate, high value, consistent service for all accounting aspects of the Finance Centre of Excellence. You will be a highperforming individual that embraces and drives change whilst showing effectivecollaboration with your team and business counterparts.You must ensure that all company policies are adhered to. You must also ensure that duties are carried out within set time limits whilst providing an excellent level of service to all Informa customers and colleagues. Informa takes the security and privacy of company, colleague and customer data seriously and you are responsible for working securely and supporting this within your duties.We will require this person to commit to travelling to the Colchester office 2-3 days a week.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of payroll postings, reconciliations and associated queries and reportingSupport the intercompany and fixed asset processesPerform and/or review all calculations, postings and processes within your remitEnsure that all CoE-owned balance sheets are an accurate reflection of all assets and liabilities for the areas that you support and be prepared to report to management on thisTrain, support and monitor performance of the Capgemini BPO team that support CoE activities. Deal with any issues and escalate as necessaryEnsure all process documents are up-to-date and readily available for your areas of responsibilityWork effectively with internal and external auditorsEnsure all statutory and regulatory deadlines within your remit are metFlag any control risks and instances of fraud (both actual and attempted) to management as early as possibleLiaise with both SSC and business teams as necessaryAnalyse and solve ad hoc problems using your knowledge of the business and systemsMake proactive suggestions for continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance CoESupport on special projects within the department, including testing for new systems, developing new processes, assisting with the implementation of SSC wide projects introduced by Senior Managers or Global Process Owners, etc.Assist with ad hoc duties as neededQualificationsQualificationsStrong academic backgroundIdeally newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Part Qualified also consideredExperience of managing work with an offshore service provider would be advantageousGood working knowledge and understanding of Shared Service Centre processes and how these fit into the wider environmentGood understanding of R2R processes including best practice, people, processes and technologyAbility to manage own deadlines and priorities whilst delivering a high standard of working and supporting junior and offshore team members when they require assistanceExperience of Oracle and/or SAP would be advantageousAdditional InformationWhy work at Informa ?Employee experience is very important to us at Informa.
