Financial Accountant - 12 month FTC

Jenson Fisher have been engaged by a highly reputable organisation based in Glasgow City centre to recruit a Financial Accountant on a Fixed Term contract for 12 months. The successful candidate will beresponsible for monitoring and analysing financial data as part of the month and year end process, including liaising with internal and external auditors. My client will also consider a part-time candidate (3 or 4 days) or full-time. There is the opportunity for hybrid working with this role. There is an opportunity for this role to go permanent. The main duties:Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets and forecastAnalysis of financial performance and provide commentary on variancesBalance sheet reconciliationsAssist with preparation of annual statutory accountsLiaise with internal audit as requiredPreparation of quarterly VAT returnsProcess improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the teamSupport the finance manager with ad hoc projects and analysis as requiredEnsure compliance with accounting standards and regulationsThe main requirements:Part Qualified, Qualified ACCA/CIMA or QBEExperience of Sage softwareExperience of management accountingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsTeam PlayerMy client offers a great office environment, hybrid working, flexible hours and attractive benefits.
