My client are keen to secure the services of a suitably qualified Finance & Treasury Manager to cover for maternity leave across the organisation. As the main membership organisation for their profession, they are an excellent employer who work on a hybrid
basis, two days per week in their Central London offices, three days from home. The successful candidate will be the subject matter expert on statutory accounting regulation, including FRS102 and charity accounting, and will manage a team to ensure the provision
of an accurate and effective service. Day-to-day of the role:
Manage and develop the financial accounts and treasury management functions, fostering a customer service mindset.Line management responsibility for two Financial Accountants and indirect management for the Assistant Financial Accountant and Finance Officers.Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial procedures, controls, reporting, and systems across all entities.Lead the year-end process, ensuring all audit deliverables are produced on time and to a high standard, and act as the lead contact for external auditors.Coordinate and run the year-end project team, ensuring all deliverables are completed to deadline.Complete full statutory accounts and other statutory returns, ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting regulations.Provide guidance and training on accounting matters to staff, Council members, and other stakeholders.Manage the production of balance sheets, including month-end review, reconciliation, and resolution of issues.Prepare and complete Corporation Tax and VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC guidelines.Oversee the management of all banking, investment, and treasury management facilities. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in financial accounting and treasury management within a similar role.Expert knowledge of statutory accounting regulations, including FRS102 and charity accounting.Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial reports and provide training.Proficiency in finance systems and processes, with the ability to develop and improve them.Ability to work flexibly, travel within the UK, and manage occasional overnight stays to fulfil the duties of the post.
