Finance Systems Analyst

We are delighted to be partnering with a PLC in the recruitment of a Finance Analyst to sit within the Finance Business Service Team. This is a key role within the business, focused on improved functionality, data integrity and security. There will also be the ownership of financial system processes and ensuring robust and proportionate controls.The Finance Analyst is responsible for driving and acting as a first line of defence assurance of financial controls for all finance systems, ensuring continuous improvement of the control and governance framework.Key Responsibilities:Accountable for identifying, assessing and managing financial controls and segregation of duties for all finance systemsResponsible for driving solutions with IT and ensuring appropriate closure of action plans developed in response to any ineffective controls/ control gapsWorking closely with business process owners and IT to ensure adequate controls are in place, tested and monitored consistently across all finance systemsDevelop and maintain financial control documentation and logsProactively evaluate systems risks and engage process owners and IT to ensure root causes are identified and addressedBuild & maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, driving a culture of risk ownership and continuous improvementWork with Financial Control & Governance Lead and IT to support internal control walkthroughs and/ or external auditsManage and track the action plan of internal control walkthroughs and/ or external auditsKey Skills:From a Finance BackgroundIntermediate knowledge of system controls identification and evaluationExperience in performing system and risk controls testingAbility to demonstrate exceptional documentation skills, managing action plans, workshops and projectsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful business offering a range of benefits.
