To learn more about us visit our website - www.destinationsport.comAs our new Finance Operations Team Leader, you will manage our existing finance operations team including Accounts Receivable & Treasurytodeliver accurate and efficient financial transaction processing services to the whole Destination Sport Group. You will also assist with team management including training, development, reviews & appraisals.
We are looking for someone who has varied experience working across a finance operations function, who is highly motivated, proactive, and is not intimidated by a challenge.
No two days days are the same here at Destination Sport, but on a typical day you will
Lead with the operations of the Accounts Receivableand Treasury functionsSupport the team to accurately invoice customers and record cost of sales into finance system.Encourage team development and awareness of transactional processes.Actualise cash flows, supervising payment run processes when required and utilise FX platforms where needed.Take ownership of the corporate credit card processes and monitor spend.Take ownership of monthly analysis reports for the Commercial Team and Finance Director.Review and monitor aged debtor reports and support the team to reduce aged items.Support the manager to implement and report KPI’s.Produce and maintain process notes and procedures.Assist in implementing processes across Finance Operations.Consult with banks in multiple countries regarding queries, new account openings or issues.Work closely with each department of the sports divisions and become a key point of contactSupport the finance operations manager in all aspects of the role.Work on ad-hoc projects and improvements to the Finance Operations processesAssist on month end close processes and ensure all bank reconciliations are complete and accurate.Maximise personal skills, knowledge, and experience to positively impact on performance and assist in meeting business goals.Adhere to the organisation’s policy and procedures on information security and take whatever actions are required to safeguard data and assets.To be successful within this role, our ideal candidate will:
Have experience working within at least 2 areas of - Accounts Receivable, Banking or Treasury
Have experience in multi-currency payments and FX platforms.
Have experience with cash flow and cash collections is essential.
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and workload management.
Be computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office,
and in particular Excel.
Have effective communication skills and works well within a team and independently.
Be able to work under pressure and to tight month end deadlines.
Have experience in using Unit4 Financials preferred but not
essential.
Have the ability to work within a team environment to achieve
team/department objectives.
Have the ability to think logically, consider all relevant aspects and
carry out analysis on information.
Have proven experience in implementing process improvements,writing formal documentation,
process notes and procedures.
