Job Description
Job Title: Finance Operations Manager
Location: Remote with ability to travel
Purpose
To manage the financial and management information systems and processes which ensure effective governance and compliance with key statutory and regulatory requirements and with Ignite’s risk management strategy.
To ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way, constantly seeking management system improvement and best practice.
Main Responsibilities of Job
Managing accounting, budget and cash flow.
Ensure robust financial controls and policies are in place and functioning effectively.
Providing monthly financial and management information reports to Senior Management.
Work closely with the business’s Data Protection Office to ensure the company is meeting all of its GDPR obligations.
Ensure operational processes are efficient.
Monitoring of adherence to operational processes across the business.
Produce a monthly operational information report pack for Senior Management.
Key Tasks
Budget preparation.
VAT reconciliation.
Ensuring debtors and creditors payments are up to date and with set KPIs. Management of the monthly P&L actual and forecasting reporting process for the business.
Challenging the numbers and preparing detailed and summary commentary on the key P&L variances.
Monitoring of margin improvement plans and their delivery. Constructive challenge of forecasts put forward by the business to ensure robustness.
Reporting of monthly detailed cash flow process including detailed working capital analysis and cashflow forecasts on a regular basis.
Skill Set Requirements
Experience of operational systems such as HubSpot and Adaptiveworks
10 years finance management experience, qualified Accountant and a good understanding of financial systems and processes
Data manipulation and presentation skills
Experienced Xero user
