Our skilled staff and volunteers make a real difference to the lives of over 9,000 people a year across Worcestershire and Herefordshire.Our Finance Officer will be an enthusiastic individual, with a good work ethic and a can-do attitude to support the Finance Manager and the work of a busy finance department.This role will be responsible for the daily running of ONSIDE’s finance functions which are varied and will include duties such as administrative assistance of the monthly payroll, efficient management and maintenance of Purchase Orders, the Purchase and Sales Ledger and Petty Cash.This role will require knowledge and experience of working within a Finance department, but the successful candidate will also be expected to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills to be able to assist the wider organisation with queries on expenses, payroll and any other general finance queries.Who are we looking for?You will have strong administrative skills, being methodical and excellent attention to detail as well as having confidence in using Microsoft Excel.You will have a good understanding of the individual functions that make up a Finance department and have some knowledge of Purchase and/or Sales Ledger.You will be resourceful, patient, and proactive in providing support to your colleagues and will have excellent organisational skills enabling you to plan and prioritise your workload with a flexible and creative approach which enables you to react to changing priorities.You will have the vision and creativity to contribute to the development of ONSIDE’s Finance function, contributing to the success, growth, and diversity of our organisation.The role of Finance Officer is a real career opportunity to lead, support and inspire those who want to make a difference in their communities.Someone like you?If you believe we should embrace difference and champion diversity.If you are creative in your approach, can think around problems and find new ways to solve themIf you’re looking for a job that you can be proud of, and passionate about.Please get in touch with us.These values run through our entire organisation.
