With the head office being based in Birmingham, this company has a busy finance function and would require the successful to be located in the office 5 days a week. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining, reporting and forecasting accurate financial information as well as operational transactions.The Finance Officer responsibilities include:Supporting with the month and year end procedures, which will include posting journals, bank statements, accruals, and prepayments.Management of company debit and credit cards.Managing weekly payments.Processing invoices on a monthly basis.Responding to internal and external queries.Assisting in the external audit and liaising with auditors where necessary.This is a great opportunity for an up-and-coming professional, looking to develop in their career and be guided by experienced professionals in their field.The successful candidate will have:Experience working as part of a busy finance function and proven ability to pay strong attention to detail.Prior budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience.Experience working in the education sector will be a bonus.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Intermediate – advanced Excel skills.Willingness to learn and gain further exposure in the finance field.If this role is of interest, do not hesitate to submit your application as CVs are being reviewed as and when they come in.
