About The RoleDue to an internal promotion the position of Finance Manager is available. The Finance Manager reports into the Head of Financial Reporting with the following responsibilities:1. Financial & Statutory Reporting (75%)• Assisting with financial reporting responsibilities including the month end close and provision of weekly and monthly management information and performance indicators to the Board and other stakeholders.• Support the Head of Financial Reporting and wider finance team to manage and deliver the Group's interim statement and full year statutory accounts including:o Drafting/reviewing key financial reporting position papers and back half disclosureso Provision of high quality and timely information to auditors and working with them to close audit questions out efficientlyo Review of other disclosures and supporting workpapers produced by other members of the financial reporting teamo Own the project management of the audit from our sideo Verification of front half and back half of financial statements• Assisting the Head of Financial Reporting on technical accounting matters under IFRS, including drafting papers for the Audit Committee presentations.• Owning IFRS15 accounting, reporting requirements and analysis• Acquisition accounting and support:o Finance lead on integration of acquired companies into the Foxtons Group (own the finance relationship, review business operating costs to identify and realize synergies)o Acquisition accounting and liaison with auditorso Assisting with future budgeting and forecasting• Business partnering the Foxtons IT development team to understand projects they are working, assess the ability to capitalize projects and ensure correct support is kept and produce clear analysis ensuring the team is fully utilized.• Individual entity statutory accounts preparation and liaison with auditors.2. Coaching Finance Team & Continuous Improvement (25%)• Reviewing, implementing, and enhancing reporting processes and key controls across the broader business, including managing the integration of acquired businesses into our existing controls framework and systems.• Support the Head of Financial Reporting in review and coaching of wider financial reporting team (3 people, not direct reports of this role).Stakeholders• Head of Financial Reporting (direct report to)• Director of Finance• Investor Relations Manager• Commercial Finance Team• Lettings Accounts director and lettings accounts teamLocation• Based at the Group's Head Office in Chiswick, W4 5BE• Flexible working offered with 3 days office / 2 days WFH (flexibility around auditor office time required at interim and year end)About YouTechnical skills• Big 4 / mid-tier ACA (ICAEW) or CA (ICAS) qualified• Experience auditing or working for a listed business• Strong IFRS financial accounting skills, including a strong working knowledge of key financial controls, IFRS15 and acquisition/disposal accounting• An individual with a strong vision, who knows "what good looks like", enjoys getting into the detail, but also sees the bigger picture and is able to drive financial control and reporting improvements across the business• Ability to upskill quickly• Strong business report writing skills and communication skillsSofter skills• Collaborative and a team player, engaging and able to build strong relationships across teams and enjoys working in a people-based business• Flexible, agile, and resilient• Ability to flex style and communication to cater for all levels of the business• Able to stand back and see the big picture and comfortable to dive into the detail as required• Self-starter and able to manage their time to meet required deadlines.• Confidence to constructively challenge the status quo• Naturally inquisitiveAbout The CompanyFoxtons, listed on the London Stock Exchange, is London's leading residential estate agent and provides mortgage advice through its subsidiary, Alexander Hall.
