Finance manager/bookkeeper position in a global manufacturer of specialist electronic components and systems for the Access Control security sector. With over thirty years of experience, they are a leading supplier in the United Kingdom and the continued goal is to be the industry's first choice.The role involves running the sales and purchase ledgers, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and bank reconciliations using Sage. The right candidate will be proactive and work closely with other members of the team and external accountants to ensure that accurate and timely financial information is recorded and reported.You would be expected to develop an understanding of the business and its other international organisations and be capable of providing detailed financial information for presentation the General Manager and shareholders. You will be confident, can prioritise a busy workload, project a professional image and have excellent numeracy and bookkeeping skills.Finance Manager / Bookkeeeper Position OverviewProducing and maintaining financial and monthly management accountsComplete the month end process, to include profit and loss account, balance sheet, cash flowstatements, capital expenditure, variance reporting, dashboards and KPIS, etc.Ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and statutory and regulatory requirementsEnsure all internal controls, policies and procedures are up to date and in accordance withaccounting standards and best practiceAuthorising transactions within delegated limits of authorityCash management including accurate cash reporting, cash forecasting & banking moneyAssisting General Manager with annual company budgetsOverall responsibility for credit control to ensure customers payment are received on timePrepare annual, monthly & quarterly Company regulatory requirements including VAT returns, FCA, P11Ds & national statisticsPrepare wage calculations for payrollProducing year end statutory accounts for auditors including liaison with external auditors and providing responses to audit queriesProcess cost of sales purchase through a purchase order driven administration systemPay suppliers promptly and in accordance with their termsEnsure all expenses are authorised at GM level before processingAny other ad-hoc tasks relating to the financial aspects of CDVI and related companies Finance Manager / Bookkeeeper Position RequirementsAbility to hit the road running at pace.Self-motivatedStrong team playerStrong knowledge of ERP systems is usefulWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office is essentialExperience of working with Sage50 is essentialExcellent numeracy and bookkeeping skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to close out tasksGood organisational skills with experience of working in a small team demonstrating willingness to support colleagues and contribute to wider team activitiesWell-presented and professional approachEducation to A level or University DegreeAccounting or Bookkeeping qualification (or similar) essential Finance Manager / Bookkeeeper Position RemunerationSalary dependent on experience ranging from £28k-41kSubsidised private healthcareCash plan for healthPension22 days annual leaveCompany bonusSupported trainingDeath in service Bennett & Game Recruitment are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy.Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
