They are looking for a hard-working professional candidate who would thrive in this culture.Your new role As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial advice to support the growth and success of the business. You will be reporting directly to the MD, with additional responsibility for reporting into the international group structure.Key Responsibilities:Manage and monitor the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including payroll, invoicing, and other financial transactions.Lead and supervise the small finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, analysing variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as banks and auditors.Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and enhance profitability.Collaborate with other departments to support business growth initiatives.Preparation and submission of VAT returns.Experience managing accruals and prepayments to accurately reflect financial position and performance.Monitoring current and predicted cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.Perform balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.Responsible for managing the company's foreign currency strategy.Responsible for handling major renewals for the company, such as insurance policies.Undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks as required by the business to support strategic objectives and operational needs.Monitoring personnel holiday and sickness and backup to some HR responsibilitiesWhat you'll need to succeed Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in finance and accounting.The ideal candidate is fully qualified (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) with extensive experience of managing month-end processes.Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial analysis.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and implement effective solutions.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications, with advanced knowledge of Excel functions.Experience with international group reporting is desirable.What you'll get in return Holiday Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays3pm Finish on FridaysMonday - Friday hoursCompany PensionHealth insurance-after 1 yearDeath In service - after 1 yearCompany events throughout the yearFree on-site parkingBrand-new purpose-built offices and facilitiesWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
