Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for:
- Budget setting, regular forecasting, and providing updates to key stakeholders
- Presenting financial information to key stakeholders, including board members and external partners
- Preparing monthly accounts, including P&L accounts per contract fund, creating P&Ls and cash flow forecasts from scratch
- Oversee transactional finance duties such as purchase ledger, credit and debit control, cash ledger, and payroll
- Year-end preparation and liaising with auditors
- Managing a finance team of two
- Improving and modernising financial processes and systems
- Driving commercial decision making across the charity
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- Comprehensive accountancy knowledge, including the ability producing month and year end accounts independently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collate, present & interpret information relating to financial performance
- Good computer literacy, including MS Excel
- All-round accounts knowledge, including transactional finance and payroll (desirable)
- Availability to work in Huddersfield 4 days per week
- Experience within not for profit and charities sector is beneficial but not essential
Job Offer
