We are seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to join our client's growing team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in financial planning and budget management functions of the organisation.

Description

The Finance Manager is responsible for:

  • Budget setting, regular forecasting, and providing updates to key stakeholders
  • Presenting financial information to key stakeholders, including board members and external partners
  • Preparing monthly accounts, including P&L accounts per contract fund, creating P&Ls and cash flow forecasts from scratch
  • Oversee transactional finance duties such as purchase ledger, credit and debit control, cash ledger, and payroll
  • Year-end preparation and liaising with auditors
  • Managing a finance team of two
  • Improving and modernising financial processes and systems
  • Driving commercial decision making across the charity

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Comprehensive accountancy knowledge, including the ability producing month and year end accounts independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to collate, present & interpret information relating to financial performance
  • Good computer literacy, including MS Excel
  • All-round accounts knowledge, including transactional finance and payroll (desirable)
  • Availability to work in Huddersfield 4 days per week
  • Experience within not for profit and charities sector is beneficial but not essential

Job Offer
