Are you looking for a new challenge?

This Surrey based company is an established and renowned part of the fast growing renewables industry specialising in heat pumps, solar and Hydrogen fuel cells.  They have grown to a size that requires a full time Finance Manager to aid growth and increase market share.  This role will provide crucial structure and process to all things financial, this includes but is not limited to;

  • Forecasting

  • Stock control

  • Invoicing

  • Payroll

  • Sales reconciliation

  • Profit and loss tracking (per project and per month/quarter)

  • Working with the sales and projects teams to ensure optimum efficiency and profit

  • Updating and building the CRM processes to refine installer and customer journeys

  • Bookkeeping (ideally automating as much as possible via the CRM and accounting software)

Experience in a service industry as a Finance Manager is useful, an analytical mind and history providing process and financial input is crucial.  The ideal candidate would enjoy being part of a dynamic and fast moving office, have a desire for growth as the company expands and be comfortable addressing the cash flow and pains that come with that.  We are in the start of the biggest change in domestic energy since the invention of centralised heating and the opportunities for well placed companies are huge and as such the scope for growth for the right individual is matched.

The hiring company has two aspects of their business; the first is a more traditional model of PAYE engineers specialising in heating and home energy installations of heat pumps, solar, Hydrogen and high end gas boilers, the second part is a B2B2C model in which the company provides support for installers around the country delivering decarbonised homes for their customers as an MCS umbrella.  The first part of the business is stable with 10 installers completing several projects a week, the second part has grown over the last two years and has overtaken the internal projects.  The MCS umbrella has the most scope for growth as electrification is being supported by Government, more incentives are being made available from mortgage providers and other lenders as we now know that fossil fuels are being phased out.

The company currently turns over £4.5m and is looking to scale the established business in the next year to capture more of the renewables market and grow the network of installers.  This will be a competitive market and there is a huge amount of investment in other businesses establishing themselves, we have built our foundations and now is the time to grow.
