This is a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to develop their career with a fast growing, dynamic, investment-backed business in Lichfield. you will be tasked with delivering accurate and timely financial information and establishing and maintaining a robust control environment and a culture of continuous improvement.





Your role:






  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management reports and other financial performance indicators

  • Working with the CFO on the delivery of monthly financial board reports

  • Collaborate with auditing services to ensure compliance

  • Working alongside the CFO maximising any appropriate R&D tax credits, supporting work on Research and Development Tax Relief Claims

  • Responsibility for VAT and PAYE/NIC, working alongside CFO for Corporation Tax and other compliance issues

  • Take ownership of payroll processing and payments

  • Help develop the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial plans

  • Manage and monitor the company's cash flow, optimising working capital and liquidity to support operations and growth initiatives

  • Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the executive team, helping to drive informed decision-making and overall business growth

  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported

  • Daily reconciliation and examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies

  • Assist with the design, implementation and adherence to efficient and robust financial systems and controls





Your background:






  • Qualified or nearly Qualified (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)

  • Previous experience in a similar role within finance is essential

  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge

  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards

  • Strong communicator and able to develop relationships with key stakeholders

  • Able to mentor and support others

  • Possess a high attention to detail with 'big picture' awareness

  • Committed to continuous improvement

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Positive outlook and generates enthusiasm and energy with a determined, can-do approach
