Opportunity to join local charitable organisation as a Finance Manager. Working closely with the CEO, the Finance Manager will lead the accounting function and offer strategic financial advice to the Senior Management Team.
As Finance Manager, you will oversee the daily accounting operations for the charity and work closely with the Senior Management Team and the Board aiding their understanding of the charities financial position.You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the charity by providing essential financial and governance expertise. Alongside this you will have responsibility for leading, motivating and developing a performance led Finance Team.Your responsibilities include developing and implementing robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal obligations. Leading the annual budgeting process and assisting in income generation strategies are integral aspects of the role.You'll supervise finance operations to ensure robust controls and manage risks, while providing regular management accounts. You'll oversee restricted funds, coordinate audits, handle payroll, manage cash reserves, and ensure regulatory compliance. Additionally, you'll manage stock processes, develop the Finance Team, and stay updated on charity finance regulations.The ideal applicant will be a qualified Accountant with experience in a similar role.
