Paul Mitchell Associates are delighted to be working with this returning client on an EXCLUSIVE basis in their hunt for a new Finance Manager

Our client an established organisation based in Market Harborough – is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team 4 to 5-full days per week on a permanent basis. Reporting to the MD & other Director,s, this is a hands on stand alone finance role, managing the finances of this successful business

The role:


  • Management accounts & reporting,
  • Budgets & forecasting,
  • Bank reconciliations, monitoring bank limits & posting transactions
  • VAT returns & reconciliations
  • Checking and posting supplier invoices / payments,
  • Posting daily transactions to the general ledger,
  • Sales invoices, credit control & chasing outstanding purchase orders,
  • Recording list of client disbursements,
  • Record & reconcile petty cash,
  • Updating fixed asset register & depreciations,
  • Credit card payments / raising payments via online banking,
  • PAYE payroll, year-end returns including PAYE settlement agreements, pension administration, posting & arranging bi-annual pension workshops,
  • Liaising with external auditors incl. Accountants,
  • Assist the team with any Excel issues / reports.


The Right Person


  • Our client is specifically seeking candidates who are energetic, able to execute their role efficiently, and competently whilst being a good listener and proactively bringing new ideas to the table,
  • High focus on attention to detail,
  • Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
  • Confident & able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision,
  • Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills,
  • Strong IT skills incl. SAGE & Microsoft Excel, with the ability to define, set up & manage new processes. Experience using Xero would be beneficial.

  • Appointment Type: Permanent
  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 full-time-equivalent (subject to experience)
  • Hours: 4-5-Days per week (32-40 hours degree of flexibility)
  • Holiday 24 Days + Bank Holidays
  • Hybrid working (laptop provided)
