Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Leicester. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of the company, providing strategic guidance to senior management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, collections, and payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely completion and compliance with auditing standards.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements, ensuring compliance and implementing best practices.
- Manage payroll processing and related tax filings in collaboration with HR and external payroll providers.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior finance role, with a strong background in financial reporting, analysis, and management.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks or SAP is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence decision-making at all levels.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
