Finance Manager - 9-12 Month Fixed Term Contract We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME in Wigan, covering a 9-12month Maternity cover.In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance, and supporting the overall business growth. You will work closely with the team to drive financial performance and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Manage financial budgets, and forecastsMonitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvementPrepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholdersOversee cash flow management, budgeting, and financial planning processesEnsure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsManage tax compliance and reporting activitiesSupervise and mentor the finance team memberEstablish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersDay to day duties covering all aspects of FinancePreparing Payroll (submitted through Excel spreadsheets)RequirementsProven experience as a Finance Manager or similar roleStrong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirementsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in financial modeling and data analysisExperience with financial software and ERP systems.CPA, CMA, or similar certificationExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentExperience (or knowledge / understanding) of CAPEXLeadership skills and a supportive natureConfident using and manipulating formulas on ExcelHours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pmBenefitsSalary of Circa £45k - Fixed Term Contract (negotiable).
