It takes all these things to build a strong, successful business and our door is always open to new talent ready to contribute to our growth and evolution.About the roleSeeking a Finance Manager to take charge of the day-to-day UK Finance and management of the month-end process with a team of finance assistants. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a retail environment, responsible for producing accounts and ensuring smooth financial operations.Key Responsibilities:Working closely with the International Accountant on consolidated accounts and Commercial Finance Team on providing relevant information for month end reporting.Supporting the Head of Finance with ownership of Balance Sheet items and ensuring robust reconciliations are in place – Debtors, Stock, Fixed Assets etc.Ensuring Stock accuracy across all business locationsMaintaining accounting standards compliance, policies and procedures and assisting with annual Audit.ERP Project – provide support, guidance and implement processes through the transition of systems.Assisting with Payroll and maintaining PSA/BIK reporting schedules.Ownership of quarterly VAT return and ensuring VAT compliance across the finance systemLiaising with key external parties, in particular Insurance and TrademarksSupporting the Head of Finance with further growth and other key projects.Qualifications:Finance professional (CIMA/ACCA preferable) with 5 years+ experience.Experience in Financial Management and IFRS, preferably in the Retail industryStrong Excel skills and Microsoft 365 Dynamics experience preferableExcellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with other key stakeholders in the business.Employee Benefits:33 days annual leave for full time employees (25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays)A day off to celebrate your birthday.Pension SchemeGroup Life and Income Protection InsurancesEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Length of Service AwardRefer a Friend SchemeGenerous Staff and Friends and Family DiscountCycle to Work SchemeEye Care VouchersReal Living Wage EmployerEmployee led committeesSocial events and biannual partiesEnhanced maternity and paternity package after 2 years of service.ME+EM is an equal opportunities employer committed to fostering and preserving a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion in our workforce.
