Location: Coleford, Gloucestershire - must be very local or drive
Hours: 28 - 30 hours per week across Monday to Friday, with flexibility on hours and days

Salary: £41,500 FTE

Our client is looking for a part-time finance lead to join their team. Previous experience in a similar finance / accounts role is vital.

Responsibilities of a Finance Lead

* Prepare and complete with the timely distribution of management accounts and paperwork for the Management and Board meetings and preparation of Annual reports

* Be a key holder providing cover for opening and closing when necessary

* Work collaboratively and constructively in line with our vision, mission and strategy

* Prepare invoices and make BACS payments through a purchase order system

* Create and send sales invoices

* Manage petty cash, ensuring reconciliation is appropriately completed

* Oversee and report appropriately on all donation platforms

* Complete all appropriate HMRC returns to include the administration of local government returns, VAT, Gift Aid, and Payroll

* Facilitate general finance administration with the finance team

* Complete the monthly payroll in cooperation with the Admin and Facilities Lead to ensure skills are shared

* Ensure the effective daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance of the Sage system

* Prepare financial forecasts, projections and other financial reports required by the SMT and Finance Director

* Assist in the preparation of business cases when required

* Manage and administer all bank accounts

* Provide confidential and discrete Finance support to the Board, our staff and external contributors

* Line manage the Finance Assistant and voluntary staff

Key Skills of a Finance Lead

* Experience of working in a busy finance role

* Part or fully AAT qualified (or equivalent accounting qualification)

* Strong IT skills, particularly Excel

* Sage experience

* Payroll experience
