Finance Director

My exclusive client, with its HO based in Chorley Lancashire, is a fast growing and ambitious group of 7 independent, autonomously run SME companies.
The group's exciting growth strategy is focused on strong ongoing organic growth plus bolt-on new B2B Service lines and selective new start-up opportunities. Group t/o has risen to over £40m with over 20% YOY uplift.
This new Finance Director role has been created to join the energetic, hands-on leadership team to provide financial management and strategic input and support across this expanding group of companies.
Key responsibilities will encompass:
Manage and develop a small efficient Group Finance team.
Collate and present consolidated management accounts with insightful commentary at monthly Board Meeting.
Develop MI/KPI's to proactively review business performance and to inform key decision-making processes.
Proactive cashflow management to meet Bank covenants.
Produce consolidated annual statutory accounts and tax computations in close liaison with the Auditors.
Proactively explore and action new business initiatives to fully exploit profitable growth opportunities - new business start-ups, review additional Funding requirements and Investment for new B2B Client Services and expansion into new market channels, selective bolt-on acquisitions etc.
Operate as the key point of contact with all professional stakeholders.
Overall, to play a key role to achieve the group's exciting and challenging strategic growth ambitions.
The successful candidate:
An experienced qualified accountant who is both technically capable and able to demonstrate wider commercial/business understanding.
Proven experience of Financial leadership and wider Strategic support for a group of autonomous profit centre companies, within a Divisional, Group or Portfolio business structure.
Energetic and "switched on" approach, keen to "make your mark" to successfully develop your career with this ambitious, high growth entrepreneurial Group of companies.
In return, my client offers an executive level salary up to £120k + Car + Bonus + LTIP to reward longer term success.
