If you are passionate about finance, making a difference in a fast paced dynamic organisation, and of course holidays, then we would love to hear from you!The Finance Director is a key leadership role within the organization responsible for helping to drive the strategic direction of the company's financial operations. The Finance Director will work closely with the CFO, providing direct support and guidance in the development and implementation of the company's financial objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards. This individual will lead the financial operations of the business day to day, including commercial finance, financial reporting and shared services, as well as working closely with colleagues across other teams to collaborate and drive success.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving financial performance and growth.Duties will include:Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.Oversee financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and other stakeholders to support decision-making and drive business growth.Manage and optimise the company's treasury operationsEnsure timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers and regulators.Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.Present financial information to a broad range of stakeholders including Audit Committee and Board members, presenting information on financial performance, forecasts and strategic plans.Drive a culture of process improvement, innovation and continuous learning within the finance function.About youWe ask that you are as passionate about making On the Beach a success as we are!Great team playerHigh integrity and ethical decision makingResilienceExceptional strategic thinkingSkills that you will bring to the beach include:Qualified accountantProven experience in a senior finance role, preferably as a Finance Director or Deputy CFOExperience of leading shared service operations/teams and driving cost savings / process improvementsExceptional commercial experience with clear examples of driving commercial successStrong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.Previous experience of working in the travel sector (Preferred but not essential)What to expect from our interview processThe process will be typical of a strategically important senior hire, including a number of interviews with colleagues from across the business.We want to make sure everybody has the opportunity to perform at their best.
