You will report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with the senior management team and the board of directors. This role is instrumental in guiding their financial strategy, contributing significantly to their sustainable growth, and their ongoing commitment to exceptional care for people with learning disabilities and autism.If you're an experienced finance professional, passionate about making a meaningful impact in the health and social care sector, they encourage you to apply and join us in this rewarding journey.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Managing Director, Executive Team, and Board to establish long-term financial goals and devise strategies to achieve themProvide financial leadership ensuring the financial sustainability of the GroupDevelop and monitor internal controls, financial compliance, and legal requirementsDevelop effective procurement strategies and systems for the GroupEstablish and manage contract systems for commissioned and purchased servicesAct as a primary advisor to the Managing Director and Board on financial, commercial, and financial mattersProvide guidance on the financial implications of proposed actions and initiativesLead, direct and support the Finance Department, overseeing its functions and performance, including payroll function and pension arrangementsProvide technical data support to the Finance & Payroll DepartmentsLead the annual budgeting process and provide regularly updated financial models, forecasts and cash flowsMonitor financial performance, analyse variances, and produce monthly accounts and performance reports for discussionPresent the financial position to the Board and relevant partiesOversee and ensure robust financial controls are in place to mitigate risk of fraud and errorsCultivate a positive culture of financial responsibility, value for money balanced with high quality outcomes across the organisationMaintain a Risk Register and ensure adequate control measures for identified financial risksPrepare statutory annual accounts, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and collaborating with external auditorsUndertake all company secretarial duties to ensure legal, financial, and reporting complianceDevelop and maintain financial models for the Group's activitiesAdvise on the cost-effectiveness of operationsLead annual fee negotiation processes and liaison with sponsorsLead on lease negotiation processes and liaison with landlordsSupport the Managing Director and Executive Team with growth, development, and revenue stream projectsMonitor project progress and assess assumptionsDevelop and implement strategies to raise necessary financeManage relationships with financial supporters and ensure compliance with their requirementsUndertake additional reasonable duties as directed by the Board or Managing DirectorOversee and assist with the preparation of accounts for associated companiesSkills and QualificationsChartered Accountant Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)Up to date on current best practice, legislation, accounting standards Costing and investment appraisal techniques.Senior Finance Leadership & Management Experience Leading & Managing TeamsCompany Secretarial Duties & PracticeCommercial Organisation ExperiencePayroll SystemsPreparing Budgets, financial Modelling, to be competent in a variety of accounting systems.Businesses Growth Skills & ExperienceExcellent Organisational, Interpersonal, Communication, Presentation & Time Management Skills.Able to lead, support, supervise and inspire colleagues and co-workersBenefits33 days annual leave (pro-rata)Guaranteed weekly hours from 20 up to 45 hours per weekBlue Light Card and Discounts (think eating out, shopping and much more!)Free meal(s) whilst on shift & activities paid forFree DBS checkUpon successful completion of 6 month probation: service related sick pay and Simply Health Plan, which includes EAP and 24/7 GP for employee and their children (up to 4 children up to the age of 24)To ApplyIf you feel you are a suitable candidate and would like to work for this reputable organisation, please proceed to the following link to complete your application.
