Finance Director

Edward Reed is working on a fantastic opportunity for a qualified finance professional to lead and develop the finance function in an exciting and fast growing entrepreneurial Healthcare business. The business is founder owned and has recently had a significant investment from a Family Office to help accelerate growth.As Financial Director you will be responsible for the financial leadership and oversight of the finance function in a rapidly expanding business. The role will involve ensuring robust financial management to help deliver the financial strategy and growth plans. Job Role Provide finance leadership reporting to the CEO in a board roleEnsure the accurate and timely reporting of management and statutory accounts and KPI reports.Effective financial management, providing accurate and insightful financial analysisLead on financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting and cash management.Robust cashflow monitoring and managementFinancial appraisal of new business opportunities/joint venture opportunities.Oversight of statutory returns and compliance requirements.Review of complex financial models to support financial forecasting and investment decisions.Maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Family Office Investors and the bankBusiness SupportCo-ordinate a timely budget process; provide sufficient challenge and analysis to the numbers and discuss with the Management Team and BoardContribute to the strategic business development dialogue by challenging assumptions and decision making, making recommendations to the BoardSupport the company with commercial contract reviewsLiaison with external service providers – for example, managed IT and telecoms services Knowledge / Skills / Experience Required A team player that is hard working and driven to succeedProfessionally qualified accountant (ACA/ ACMA / ACCA)A qualified accountant with at least 5 years PQE.Experience of working in an SMEStrong leadership skills to lead, motivate and develop a finance team.Experience of managing and reporting financial performanceSome Family Office or Private Equity experienceExperience of working in an entrepreneurial environmentExperience of successfully delivering financial systems change projects / programmes
