London, UK (Hybrid)
Craft Worldwide is seeking aFinance Director;Production Finance and FP&Aforan integrated role incorporating overall P&L management and project-level production cost ownership. Initially focussing on Craft London through a period of transition, the role will expand to have oversight of several of our key European studios in the near future.This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong partnerships across finance, operations, production, and leadership teams, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.
The role of Finance Director, Production Finance & FP&A:
As Finance Director, Production Finance & FP&A responsibilities will include:
Finance Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and maintain close working relationships with the Managing Director, the leadership team, other senior executives, and global finance partners to drive superb financial leadership of the finance and accounting function, to ultimately optimise the Company’s financial performance and strategic position overall.
Assist senior teams with development of Company strategy and decision-making by providing financial analysis and business insights, and challenging assumptions as appropriate.
Own Craft London FP&A activities including long-term planning, budgets, pacing, estimates, and monthly/quarter closes, financial target setting, and actual vs plan performance analysis.
Work with local studio finance teams to assist with EMEA regional reporting, consolidations, and analysis to global teams.
Lead the process for continual review and cost effectiveness of operating costs, to ensure costs are procured and managed in the most cost-effective manner, liaising with budget holders as appropriate.
Oversee and manage the integrity, quality, and timeliness of all financial and management reporting and related information, championing utilisation of technology to drive provision of efficient and effective information.
Ensure compliance to Group and statutory requirements as regards tax, VAT and Treasury matters.
Production Finance:
Partner with Production, Operations, and Creative in building, managing, reporting and analysing client/project-level content creation costs including budgeting, actuals reporting, and pacing for multiple simultaneous productions.
Conduct on-going project and client-level estimate vs actual cost analysis to identify risks and propose efficiency and savings opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners and Operations Finance on utilization and efficiency analysis, ratecard creation and updates, weekly reporting, and KPI metrics dashboards.
Who you will be:
As Finance Director, Production Finance & FP&A, we are looking for you to demonstrate:
Qualified Accountant with experienceand advanced understanding of content production
Several years experience in operational finance or corporate FP&A including planning, budget management, pacing, variance analytics, and project/P&L responsibilities
High proficiency with MS Office suite and strong MS Excel skills and experience with enterprise GL systems (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion)
Outstanding leader with in-depth generalist expertise and knowledge of finance systems
Engaging and collaborative style, with demonstrable ability to influence others to gain commitment and achieve results
Intellectually curious, creative and critical thinker, focused on continuous improvement and growth
Self-starter with a strong work ethic, deeply conscientious pride of ownership mentality, and the highest standards of integrity
A natural collaborator accustomed to working with multiple stakeholders, across varied simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment
