If you share our values and are proud of a job well done, collaborative in working well with others and ambitious to make things better, then have a read of what we have on offer.We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our high performing finance team and be responsible for our Contracting business in the Midlands region.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it's important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Role ResponsibilityReporting directly to the Regional Head of Finance for Midlands, as the successful candidate you will manage the provision of the regional financial information and reports as part of the regional finance team.As the Finance Business Partner - Contracting you will manage the provision of the regional financial and technical information and reports as part of the business unit management reporting which includes performance plans, budget, and forecasts. Also providing financial advice, support and challenge as appropriate to improve performance.You will lead the provision of accurate, timely and SOX-compliant accounting information to the senior regional team and produce accounts that comply with company processes, procedures and statutory obligation ensuring balance sheet integrity.Ensure relevant accurate management information is provided to the regional managers and their teamsEnsure integrity of the regional accounting records and assets and liabilitiesReview and confirmation of the monthly region performance cost statements, KPIs, performance measurers with variance analysis and benchmarking as requiredProvide analysis and deliver insight that links financial reports to business strategiesImprove the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performanceEnsure robust and accurate forecasts and budgetsBuild partnerships and credible, lasting relationships with all senior managers and their teams and provide financial support to commercial decision makingPresent financial performance, full year forecasts and budget variances including understanding financial opportunities and riskDrive in partnership with Regional Managers and Regional Head of Finance the delivery of operational and financial objectivesImprove and develop safety awareness within the finance teamsAd hoc head office projects as assignedThe Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering value through effective execution of the finance and business strategies. Nearly or fully qualified accountant, ACA ACCA CIMA or through experience with good knowledge of finance operations including relevant technical skills.Specific RequirementsProven financial accounting background with relevant technical skillsStrong analytical skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
