Job Summary:Select Recruitment Specialist, are looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner on behalf of their client in Lincoln.This is a Temporary interim role due to start August and finish October 2022.The Job:You will be an enthusiastic, pro-active, hands-on finance professional, who is comfortable getting involved with various areas of finance, and will work with both non-financial academic colleagues as well as other professional services colleagues. You will need to have effective business partnering skills, derived from experience in communicating financial reports, effective negotiation and the ability to analyse complex information and reach robust conclusions.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing detailed, accurate and timely financial information in order to enhance decision making, enable delivery of strategic initiatives and improve financial performance.You will be at least educated to AAT level with strong numerical skills, attention to detail and experience in preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts information. With an in-depth understanding of financial processes, you will also have excellent IT skills (Excel) and understand finance software.Knowledge and Experience:• High level of IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel• Excellent written/verbal communication skills and customer service skills, with the ability to build Strong working relationships• Effective team player with a flexible approach• The ability to analyse, interpret and effectively communicate complex financial information to diverse non-specialist audiences• Ability to work proactively using own initiative and with minimum supervision• Skills and experience in setting standards of financial performance, financial planning, forecasting, budgeting monitoring and control.• Experience of adapting own skills to new circumstances• Experience of problem solving with the ability to manipulate and interpret financial data• Experience of working within higher or further education• Experience of managing, mentoring or developing the skills of a team of staffQualifications:• AAT level or part qualified CCAB accountant (or relevant equivalent experience).37 hours per weekIf you are available to start work in August on an interim basis, please apply!
