If you are looking to increase your earnings for the year, apply now!Contract: Until August 2024 (possible extension)Salary: £35 p/h umbrellaStart Date: ASAPShift Pattern: 36 hours per week / Monday - Friday / 9am-5pmHYBRID WORKING AVAILABLE!DUTIESAct as Finance counterpart to budget holders, working as an equal, and develop the financial acumen of budget holders.Provide strategic and financial decision support to a Leadership Team for a distinct area of the business to underpin strong financial performance.Collaborate with Service Directors to contribute to the organisations Medium Term Financial Forecast, focussing on service prioritisation and sustainability.Support and drive the business area in maximising impact for local residents and businesses through delivery of effective and efficient financial performance.Drive strong financial control and advocate financial priorities to the business through the provision of timely & relevant management information.Prepare regular management information and analysis on departmental performance and trends both within Southampton City Council and across the sector.Drive and support the business in meeting challenging budget reduction programmes.Deliver capacity building initiatives to the Council to ensure an ongoing high level of financial management acumen.JOB REQUIREMENTSPrevious experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.At least 2 years' experience within a Finance Business Partner role or equivalent.Local Government and Social Care Finance experience essential, specifically adult social care and of joint working between social care and health.Knowledge of children's services desirable.Financial support to the Council's Transformation Programme with a focus of adult social care transformation (new operating model, re-structure, commissioning, learning disabilities).May be required to support children's services.During the course of the assignment some cover for a vacancy may be required.Please be advised that only candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required for this role will be shortlisted and submitted to our client for review.If you are interested in this position, know anyone who would be interested in this position or would like to know more about this position or any other positions we are recruiting for, please contact Olivia at Tempting Recruitment now!How to Apply:If you are interested in applying, please send your CV to ##### or contact Olivia on 02038544910 to discuss further.To explore other exciting opportunities or learn more about our recruitment process, please visit our website or contact Olivia on 02038544910 Accounting for International DevelopmentAccounting for International Development
