Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for driving insight and financial understanding across non-finance budget holders within the Trust, ensuring continuous strategy and budget alignment. In conjunction with the 'outward-facing' role, you will utilise your business and financial acumen to support budget holders in the development of annual budgets for their area of responsibility, developing realistic forecasts and identifying the key risks and mitigations to budgetary delivery.The Finance Business Partner will be liaising closely with the key stakeholders to ensure that all cost improvement opportunities are identified and appropriate budgetary adjustment made and reported. You will be involved in influencing business decisions by providing support and challenge in the development of business cases for investment.Applicants should have a CCAB qualification or equivalent, coupled with significant relevant experience, expertise, sound Excel skills, excellent communication skills and the necessary personal qualities to engage effectively with senior budget managers and their teams. This includes the ability to grasp quickly the issues facing managers and to explain financial implications in simple terms.
The Successful Applicant Essential criteriaProfessional accountancy qualification (CCAB) or equivalent.Demonstrable commitment to post qualification CPD.Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write succinct and clear reports and explanations and clearly explain complex financial issues.Commercially astute and able to develop costing models and pricing strategies to drive business growth and improve profitability and cash flowSubstantial experience in the production and reporting of consolidated budgets, forecasts and management accountsExcellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and notably ExcelSound planning and organising ability, and good attention to detailAbility to supervise staff and manage performanceExcellent analytical, problem solving and critical reasoning skills.Extensive knowledge of NHS financial frameworks or similar complex organisations What's on Offer You will be offered a permanent role within an established NHS trust.
