The role of Finance Commercial analyst is key to the success of the business and would work well with someone who is looking to move into a career of business partnering.Please see below for the key role requirements.Job purpose/summary:Business partnering key stakeholders in Operations and across the business, providing financial support, analysis, and insight to support key business decisions.Adding value to drive the business forward and upholding strong financial controls and governance.Key Accountabilities and decision ownership:Support the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and outlooks for the business, understanding movements between current and previous trends, identifying any potential future risks as well as opportunities.Supporting preparation of management accounts and cost centre reports.Point of contact and key business partner for all Inventory (P&L and Balance Sheet) related month end closing activities.Understand contract variances, highlighting any underlying trends.Provide advice & support to cost centre managers on understanding cost variances across the business and drive improved cost efficiency.Must have:Good communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build cross functional (non-finance) relationshipsMust be numerate and analytical, with ability to present complex information conciselyHighly IT (advanced Excel) and ERP literateHigh level of autonomy working proactively & independentlyCapable of working at pace and under pressure, able to manage and prioritise to deadlinesHighly motivated, commercially minded individual with can do attitudeMust be a team player and values drivenHigh levels of quality and accuracy in aspects of workPreferredPrevious experience of SAPPrevious experience in a Business Analyst roleDegree educated (minimum 2:1) in a relevant financial discipline
