Location - Hybrid with base location options of London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Coventry of Widnes with some possible travel to other offices (expenses covered)Duration - 6 month FTCWhat you will be doing As Finance Manager for Products, you’ll be required to act as the primary interface between the Finance and product teams. You’ll provide support to the product teams with a high degree of financial analysis and challenge, ensuring the preparation of reliable and timely financial plans to support business planning, pricing decisions, business cases and ad hoc papers. Primary responsibilities include:. Attend Product Management Committees to provide financial support and challenge on current and future business performance and plans - including month-end P&L reviews, NPV preparation and analysis, KPI analysis, income patterns, new product development/investment appraisals and preparation of relevant PMC papers).. Ensure the delivery of all aspects of the annual planning cycle and regular forecasting processes, by using judgment and expertise to set challenging yet achievable budgets and forecasts within the context of wider Bank strategy.. Develop models and best practices to assist the business in measuring the impact of changes to the budgeted balance sheet and P&L positions.. Support the production of the Individual Liquidity Adequacy Assessment (ILAA) and Individual Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) in terms of analysing the financial impact of stress scenarios and supplying commentary for inclusion in the PRA submitted documentation and supporting SLRP or SREP review meetings.. Provide product managers with financial information to assist in strategic or pricing decisions and any business cases, also reviewing and challenging decisions ensuring delivery of financial results set out within the Bank’s wider strategy.. Collaborate with other parts of Finance and Treasury to ensure capital and liquidity plan forecast models are updated to reflect actuals and highlight the impact of any significant movements.. Act as the primary point of contact within finance for your product area, being responsible for ensuring that business developments are shared with appropriate finance colleagues and are financially robust.What you need to know and show. Accountancy qualification - with practical experience in financial reporting and management accounting or strong financial modelling qualifications and commercial experience. . Prior knowledge of financial services, (experience with lending products including credit cards is desirable). Well-organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.. Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail (including Excel knowledge, power query and pivot desirable).. Excellent team player demonstrating strong relationship management skills, with an ability to work closely with others and be able to challenge decisions to deliver the best results..
