Are you an experienced Finance Business Partner with a background working in the education sector? Keen to step into a new role where you can take key financial accountability for a growing directorate? Keen to work for a large charity whose work provides critical support to thousands of vulnerable people across the country every year? If yes, look no further!This national social welfare charity is currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis in this newly revamped role. Reporting into a brilliant Head of FP&A, you will be responsible for the financial management of your own directorate, leading on the full monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycles, whilst also being the key finance subject matter expert for any advice the budget holders need to be able to deliver on their targets.The key duties of this Finance Business Partner are as follows:Lead the annual budget setting process for your area of responsibility.Provide critical support in the establishment of more robust financial reporting processes, ensuring all financial reports are fit-for-purpose.Business partner with a variety of stakeholders across the seniority spectrum to provide sound financial advice to guide decision making.Coordinate the annual and quarterly reforecasting processes for all departments under your remit.Full responsibility for producing management information packs on a monthly basis, challenging variances and producing supporting commentaries.Manage the Finance Assistant, checking the quality of their work and providing opportunities for skills development.Be a key point of contact for the External Auditors at year end.This newly revamped role comes at an exciting time for the charity as they have recently been through an exciting period of change an embarked on a new strategic plan, which this role will be key in driving across the organisation. It will suit someone with previous business partnering experience in the education sector who is now looking for a new challenge in a highly autonomous role. Please note this role will be officially based out of their office in Torquay, although opportunities to work from home will be on offer for up to three times per week.The successful candidate will have:Ideally, a background working in the education sector but this is by no means essential.Strong business partnering and stakeholder management experience.Demonstrable experience in producing management accounts and budgets.Brilliant communication and interpersonal skills.Experience managing another member of staff.If you think this Finance Business Partner role sounds like you, please do not delay in applying as applications are under continuous review.
