My client, a leading global engineering business, are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to join their fast-growing office in Warrington.Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, the Finance Business Partner will play a key role in supporting two of the UK's key business lines, actively managing business performance, growth, budgeting and forecasting. The Finance Business Partner will have proven analytical skills, ability to build/maintain financial models, and will be able to build strong working relationships across various non-finance disciplines.The Finance Business Partner will be regularly expected to present to senior stakeholders, across various different locations, so confidence and the ability to articulate financial information to non finance teams is essential.Key responsibilities include:Work closely with the Commercial Finance team and the operational business to manage business performance, and budgeting and forecasting, across two keybusiness lines and be an active member of the operational management teams.Develop management reporting and analysis to support transparency over the key drivers of UK performance and participate in discussions with the business on how key aspects of performance can be improved.Prepare concise commentaries and variance analysis on operating financial performance.Work with the business to prepare and aggregate detailed forecasts for the business lines for which the role is responsible, and support the Group planning, budgeting and forecasting processes as required.Support on the development of price and costing models and strategies to support large and complex project bids to support the UK Head of Commercial Finance.Develop business cases to evaluate investment proposals, as required by the UK business.Work closely with the Commercial Finance team to actively manage the UK cost base, including developing options for cost reduction where appropriate and possible.Co-ordinate commercial finance processes that support monthly, quarterly and year end accounting close & reporting processes.Work closely with the business to ensure that there is a high standard of commercial and project management, and consistency of approach, on which the financial reporting and planning processes depend.Collaborate with Project Accountants and assist with coordination of their monthly project review cycle.Work with the UK senior tax manager to ensure tax compliance and other taxation risks are appropriately addressed, as necessary.Ensure a strict risk and control framework operating to SOX standards is in place, and adequate quality control over all aspects of financial transactions and reporting.Support external and internal audit activities, as necessary.Maintain a strong understanding of key contractual agreements with clients.The ideal candidate will be:Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)Prior experience in a large multinational corporate environmentExperience in engineering/relevant industry highly desirableStrong Excel, with proven analytical skillsEmotionally intelligent, and able to build strong internal and external relationshipsBright, confident, inquisitive and ambitiousTo apply to this outstanding opportunity, please get in touch!Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
