As a result we are recruiting up to two Finance Business Partners to join our supportive and collaborative team and help us deliver this changeWe are looking for qualified accountants with experience of providing strategic financial advice to internal clients, and presenting detailed financial analysis to help inform decision making. The successful candidate(s) will be working across a portfolio of services, so excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to form and sustain good working relationships with service directors and mangers will be essential.Leading a small team of finance analysts, you will help ensure robust budget management by supporting colleagues with financial forecasting, savings delivery, and developing financial risk mitigation strategies. Your financial advice and support to budget holders will be essential to the successful delivery of our new Business Planning and Budget Framework, and you will form part of a directorate management team as well as being part of the core finance function.Our recently restructured team is playing a key role in helping colleagues develop robust financial management skills at a critical time for the organisation. Our Finance Business Partners will help shape how finance is delivered in the future, and will play a key role in delivering a successful transformation of the council.
