Are you an established Finance Business Partner who is looking for a new and exciting challenge? If so then look no further! A great and exciting opportunity has just come available for a Finance Business Partner located near to Totnes, Devon. This position will operate a hybrid working model with 3 days from home and 2 days from the Totnes office. This vacancy is supporting in the Education Skills and Employment sector and will include travel to educational sites on occasion.

My client is well established within the charity sector and is looking for a competent Finance business Partner with at least 5 years post qualification experience.

• Salary – Starting salary of £50,000 per annum
• Hours – 35 hours per week
• Area – Hybrid role but will require travel to the Totnes area of Devon.
• Full time permanent position.

Responsibilities – Finance Business Partner

• To monitor financial transactions across education, skills and employment including income and expenditure.
• Responsible for the day-to-day financial transaction of ‘ESE’ in particular education tuition fees, bursaries, fee structures, invoicing and purchasing.
• Act as the key liaison for the Department for Education and Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
• To support preparation of meaningful and agreed, scenario-based budget proposals and regular forecasting across ESE.
• Monitor and control financial performance against agreed objectives at both the College and departmental level.
• Keep abreast of the financial implications of the charitable status of the College and any legislative changes in accounting standards and recommended practice that may impact ESFA or local authority payments
• Support preparation of the implementation of Vena as it relates to Education finances

Skills required – Finance Business Partner

• Must be a commutable distance from Totnes, Devon
• Strong communication both written and verbal
• Ability to build effective relationships with customers & stakeholders
• Professional qualifications in accountancy – CCAB or similar qualification with at least five years post qualification experience.
• Entrepreneurial and creative.
• Work well and thrive under pressure.
• Reliable, honest, trustworthy and high degree of personal integrity.
