It's an exciting chance to shape our future, and your own career.We are looking to recruit into a Finance Business Partner role, to continue to support this transformation journey within our Capital Finance team.The roles will be supporting our service managers and directors in service to become a proactive and trusted financial adviser. Everything you do will help to improve the service and its outcomes.Finance Business Partner - Supporting the Council-wide Capital ProgrammeWe are looking to recruit to a Finance Business Partner into a capital finance team supporting all financial aspects of the capital programme. To help continue to support this transformation journey, these posts will act as our key finance and business links with our service managers and directors, providing support and advice through a proactive business partnering arrangement. We are looking for enthusiastic and pragmatic individuals, with can do attitudes, experience in supporting the financial aspects of a large Capital programme, financial stewardship and ability to calculate and articulate complex financial information, which are all key strengths that you will need to undertake the role.As a Finance Business Partner you should hold a CCAB/CIMA body and undertaking active CPD, or actively studying for a CCAB/CIMA qualification. Whist an understanding of local government finance would be an advantage, it is not essential.If you are not currently fully qualified but actively studying, we provide opportunities to continue a funded CCAB qualification.In addition, we provide an attractive employment package that includes a generous annual leave entitlement of up to 29 days (which rises to 34 days after 5 years continuous local government service), a flexible working scheme that allows up to a further 12 days leave per year, working from home opportunities with emphasis on an optimum work life balance arrangement and a career average pension scheme.
